Peru. The body of Bagner C.D, a 19-year-oldman, was found on Wednesday, September 2, in the river, in the area known as Isla.

He had disappeared on Sunday, August 30, after the boat he was traveling in with 3 other people capsized, at approximately 7:00 pm, near a cemetery in the province of Condorcanqui, Amazonas.

That day, four young men were returning from a fishing trip and the boat they were traveling in struck a log in the middle of the river. Three of the occupants were rescued, but Bagner was swept away by the current and could not be located at that time.

Since then, rescuers conducted search operations in the waters of the river and on Wednesday, September 2, at 5:00 p.m., the personnel resumed the search until, at 5:50 p.m., they received a report that a bundle, apparently a lifeless body, had been sighted approximately 6 meters downstream on an islet in the middle of the river.

Police officers entered the river aboard a small, motorized wooden boat to verify the discovery. Upon reaching the islet, they found the body lying face down: it was wearing a red Portuguese national team jersey and beige drill shorts.

The staff secured the body with a rope and moved it to the shore of the islet. At 6:30 p.m., the body was removed with the participation of the representative of the Public Prosecutor's Office.

Amazing how quick the fish there can consume a body though isn't it. Must be the fact those little things have teeth there.
