So weird the way he just collapsed off the bike and croaked like that. If he wasn't wearing his helmet I'd think it was the fall that killed him. Maybe the old man did do something with a small poison prick or something and was a devious vigilante on the hunt using the bike as bait. If so, good for him!  |

It was probably a head injury. Helmets are not a safe bet against head injuries. His brain would still jiggle from the impact. When I was an EMT/fire fighter, my experience was that helmets didn't prevent head injuries. They only protected the face from possible trauma and kept your head in the helmet preventing the brains from splatting all over the pavement. We had a dude hit a tree. His neck impacted a branch and it decapitated him. Everyone was looking for his head, brain, or any other tissue. His helmet was on the ground and I gave a little tap with my foot and the helmet flipped enough for me to see his head still in the helmet. Cool story bro. |
