Re: Teenage Suicide in a Mall Video
heres what i found. i knew it was not long ago when i saw this Blurred photo of the boy in the SM Pampanga mall shooting culled from his Facebook account: (Credit: Facebook/GMA News) One of the boys involved in the recent SM mall shooting has died. Authorities said the 13-year old boy who allegedly shot his older male lover before turning the gun on himself died this afternoon after his family decided to remove him from life support last night. The unidentified boy’s kidneys and cornea were removed after his parents consented to make their son an organ donor. Investigation on the incident is still ongoing. Police authorities are trying to determine where the boy got the firearm – a .22 caliber gun. Authorities and mall security are also investigating how the gun was brought inside despite the presence of security guards in all entrances of the mall. This is the second such incident in an SM mall in as many weeks. Last week, a jilted wife went inside the SM City North EDSA carrying a gun and shot her estranged husband who was working inside the mall. A security guard was also shot after he allegedly tried to stop her from shooting herself. Authorities have turned to Facebook in their investigations. They have found the Facebook accounts of the two boys involved in the mall shooting and immediately checked messages and photos that may provide leads in the investigation. However, police later found that the accounts have been removed or their contents purged. According to authorities, family members or friends of the boys who have knowledge of their Facebook passwords have removed content to hide them from the authorities. UPDATE: The other boy involved the SM Pampanga shooting incident has also died. According to reports, the 16-year old boy passed away at around 11 PM last night after he was removed from life support. Just before noon, a 13 year old boy shot his alleged 17 year old lover and then himself in front of a restaurant chain at SM City Pampanga. A suicide note was found in the bag of the 13 year old revealed that the incident was a crime of passion and of a personal nature. Both are in the hospital. According to Colonel Tinio, who is heading the investigation, while security at SM City Pampanga has been constantly vigilant, the small 22 caliber gun used was very difficult to detect as this was so small in size. SM has also exerted all efforts to help the two victims and both their families are now in the hospital. We apologize for whatever inconvenience or anxiety we may have caused our customers and wish to let them know that the situation in the mall is back to normal. |
