Teenage Girl Shot Dead by Student Inside Brazilian School

One student (photo 1) died and three others were injured after a shooting attack inside the Sapopemba State School, in the East Zone of São Paulo, on Monday morning (23).

According to the Public Security Secretariat, a teenager, also a student, entered the school with a gun and fired shots. He was seized along with the weapon. Until the last update of this report, the police had not disclosed the motivation for the attack or the origin of the weapon.

In total, three students were hit by gunfire. The deceased, provisionally identified as G., had been shot in the head - two others were hit in the chest and collarbone. A fourth student was injured when trying to escape during the attack. The injured were taken to the emergency room at Sapopemba General Hospital. No details about their health status were released.
