Crazy that I watched this video a few mornings ago, and then a few hours later, I found myself performing CPR on someone who had just been electrocuted by power lines. I think watching this video and the Asian streamer chick hanging herself helped prepare me for that

You tease! Did they survive? Where was this electrocution and what were the circumstances? The word on the street is CPR rarely works for heart attack victims, but I am eager to hear how it works on electric shock victims.

Intentionally being vague to stay anonymous since it’s in the news, and this isn’t the place I want my name to be connected to lol, but we happened to be passing by just after it happened. Was in a nice residential neighborhood in the US. A large metal object that the victim was touching leaned against the top bare live wire of the powerlines, and we found them on the ground, unresponsive, no pulse, not breathing, and foaming at the mouth. We gave compressions, and gave breaths a few times when their ears would start turning blue, which seemed to help. CPR alone wouldn’t have restarted the heart, but I believe it bought just enough time for the first responders to arrive. When EMS arrived after about ten minutes of CPR, they were able to bring the victim back to life over the next 20 minutes or so. They are alive and recovering well the last I heard!
