In the event that someone undergoes this level of trauma they will almost immediately go into shock. The stuff on TV and movies where people are having flesh torn and finders and toes amputated while staying perfectly lucid are complete fantasy.

Sudden and massive blood lose quickly reduces body temperature which deadens pain prior to death.
