Brazil, A 32 years old taxi driver was shot dead on Saturday afternoon. He had a passenger in the car when other men arrived in another vehicle and started shooting at the taxi.

The passenger, 27, was also hit by bullets but was rescued and transported to the hospital in critical condition. He is in the recovery room and is not expected to be discharged soon.

According to police, the murdered taxi driver had no connection with any type of crime and the target of the criminals was actually the passenger.

Before I finished reading the intro, I suspected the main target was the passenger! Too bad for that taxy driver... It's a risk that comes from with constantly having strangers in your back seat/life.

Brazil is such a beautiful place. They have some of the most amazing and genuine people in the world. But the country is plagued by scum and it all comes down to the corruption of the government and the ties between themselves to gangs and terrorism. The only way this carnage will end is one word: Time. Over time, not in our life time and probably not our childrens lives it will come to an end like everything else does

I can't imagine being a taxi driver in Brazil. These days it's probably as dangerous as crab fishing.

I can't help but feel bad for the taxi driver. Poor guy was just trying to make money to live and this was his reward. Sad.
