The song is a remix of that old Cement Mixer song, but not the Slim Gaillard version. There are a lot of renditions of it, thankfully. This one is made by G-Swing, off an album called Swing For Modern Clubbing. It's a little like the Verve Remixes albums, in that they're generally very old vocal recordings from vinyl that are stitched into newer sounding experimental electronic music. G-Swing is far happier and quicker moving than the Verve albums though. There's a whole genre of music called Electro-Swing, that has made songs like this one pretty popular again. I like this song off the G-Swing album even more than Cement Mixer, but not enough people die or get seriously injured while making phone calls for it to warrant its own video. What I really wanna know though is...Where in Judas Rockin' Priest are my Chicken Fingers? |
