It looks like the truck with the dead guy in it was traveling in the opposite direction than the other two. He lost it on the curve side swiped the first truck then rolled over into the path of the second truck causing the head on collision. The fluid on the ground is likely a combination of leaking fuel from the trucks fuel tanks (not cargo tanks) and engine oil from the crushed engines. The cargo tank (trailer) was marked with a flammable placard. He may have been hauling diesel fuel. One cargo tank (trailer) can haul 7600 gallons of diesel fuel or 9400 gallons of gasoline. If the tank would have ruptured there would have been a flood at the very least! And the possibility of a devastating fire. Slow down on the curves stupid!!! |
