Re: Syrian Rebels Capture Ummayad Mosque In Aleppo

I agree on the bullets-thing. But not much blood being shed in this one, though.

True, but since this is Syria, I'm sure there was plenty of killing going on that day.

We did the same thing with the French Maquis during WW2. We flew overhead at night and dropped these...

They're called "FP-45 Liberator Pistols" and they were basically the cheapest weapon you could imagine. A .45 Cal with an unrifled barrel, it was only effectively accurate up to 25 feet. The idea was for the rebels to sneek up on a soldier, kill him with it and take his much better weapon.

Seeing how they just captured these weapons, from the Syrian army, its hard to know what the hell your talking about. If you were honest, you would blame Russia, for this weapons cache.Blaming America for everything, is just plain lazy.

Thankfully most of the time other, better, weapons were being dropped into mainland Europe than that.

lol. How is it not America's fault? They're the ones who are training and funding those asswipes. You know, taliban/alqaida/whatever you wanna call em all over again. Syria used to be MUCH better off before some douche in the white house made up the arab spring.

Re: Syrian Rebels Capture Ummayad Mosque In Aleppo

The interests of Russia and the West could, in some respects, converge. For one thing, Western governments are nervous about the nature of the Syrian opposition. Secular-minded rebels still predominate, but jihadists with links to al-Qaeda are coming in. Neither Russia nor the West wants a new government in Syria to export jihadist zealotry to its neighbors such as Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon, let alone to Palestinians under Israeli occupation or in Gaza. Nor do they want any of Syria’s stockpile of chemical weapons to fall into al-Qaeda’s hands. And trust me...neither do you!
