It may not even be a cultural thing. When you're around that kind of shit that much, it warps your mind and diminishes the value of human life in general. People become numb to death and misery because they have no other choice. Think about how much that father must have seen before it was his own son that got blown to bits. By that point, he had probably accepted that it was going to happen eventually. Is it any wonder that they turn to a god that preaches bloody retribution? |

At least as far as the Shi'ites, Sunnis, and Wahabbists are concerned. The Sufis strike me as a pretty peaceful lot, and that's probably why they always get fucked by the other three. |

Well, his physical actions, resentment, and distress seem to me as if he is saying to someone or another on camera. "Look! this is what they are doing, killing kids, killing my child, innocent child. and we're the bad guys? no one will help us." etc. Then again for all I know? he could be saying "look what they done to my dinner, I ordered medium. not rare."  |
