Life's a lottery in certain respects and sadly, some people are born into a cesspool. The monsters could have been caring, loving, sane individuals, but they were born into chaos, torment and misery. They will die that way, forever damaged, damned at birth. Sad to see this kind of thing and sadder that it seems to show no sign of ever changing.
