It’s interesting to see drowning in clear water, most of the time we never see the convulsions in drownings. I guess this proves it’s not just a quick peaceful lights out kind of thing. Suffocation is suffocation regardless of water being involved.

He was already unconscious when the convulsion started. Those bodily movements are not the act of someone who is awake. Drowning is a well studied phenomenon.
