India. The Mahindra Scorpio, with 4 tourists inside, was launched through the air at high speed and crashed directly down onto the under-construction concrete column. The immense force of the impact caused the steel reinforcement bars to tear through the vehicle's bodywork.

Car passenger K.K, 34, was tragically impaled by the exposed rods at the rear of the car as it became lodged on the structure. Three other tourists, R, S. and A. sustained serious injuries.

Because the body of the cabin collapsed upon impact, the occupants suffered severe compressive tissue damage to their limbs, torso and lower extremities. This includes multiple broken bones, compound fractures and pelvic/spinal trauma from the vertical impact drop.

The impact also caused massive internal bruising, closed head injuries and internal bleedings and organ lacerations. Docs at the Hospital administered immediate emergency medical procedures to manage severe shock, blood loss and stabilize their respiratory and skeletal systems
