SUV Driver Avoids Dog, Ends Up in Oncoming Lane and Dies
Yesterday morning, a fatal accident on a Mexican highway claimed the life of a man, the driver of a black Chevrolet Trax SUV, who was apparently speeding and, while avoiding a dog, lost control of the car. Aldo G. V. C, 36, was driving in the high-speed lane and authorities believe he was traveling at over 90 kilometers per hour. Aldo lost control after trying to avoid a dog, and due to excessive speed he was unable to hold the wheel, and a few meters later he jumped the curb, crashed into a palm tree that he knocked down and crossed into the opposite lanes. He first collided with Sandra, the driver of a white Honda Accord, who also lost control and jumped the median strip, ending up on the Bridge descent. For his part, Aldo ended up in the middle of both lanes where he was hit on his left side and overturned onto his right side by a soft drink delivery truck, which dragged him several meters until it took him to the curb to exit the center lanes. José, the truck driver, was able to maneuver and exited the side lanes, where he ended up crashing into a trailer lot, causing innumerable damage. The truck driver suffered a probable fracture in his left knee, while his co-driver, Pablo, was unharmed. José had to be taken to a clinic, where his condition is reported to be stable. Aldo's body was taken to the Forensic Medical Service for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of his death. |

Re: SUV Driver Avoids Dog, Ends Up in Oncoming Lane and Dies
Look at the drivers side of the truck cab in this pic. Trucker is lucky he wasn't killed, but he still ended up in probably unbearable pain because someone swerved for an animal. I drove right over a large racoon on route 40 east of Nashville in 1987 with an Oldsmobile Cutless. My dad was pissed I didn't brake and swerve but two guys I knew were thrown out of a 1980 VW Rabbit (Golf) when they swerved for a squirrel and I valued my life. |
