The video from June 24 shows Miguel Angel Chavez-Angles being shot during an altercation with officers while on a bus near Northwest 23rd Street and Classen Boulevard.

Police said witnesses reported Chavez was running from a vandalized vehicle near Northwest 11th Street and Walker Avenue with a large rock in his possession and got into another car.

Police said it was later determined that Chavez had forced his way into the car and made two female victims drive against their will.

Police said he left the vehicle in the 900 block of Northwest 23rd Street, ran into a business and locked himself inside. Police said the business owner forced him out and that's when he got onto a metro bus, where he started yelling at the driver and grabbed a fire extinguisher.

The bus was evacuated and police officer Heather Lane got on with her gun drawn, the video shows. Chavez can be seen trying to throw the fire extinguisher at her before trying to take her gun.

Chavez and Lane got into an altercation and were on the floor in a matter of seconds when officer Daniel Carli got on the bus. He fired one shot and killed Chavez.

No bystanders were hurt in the incident.

The officers have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.

I thought i added this to the original topic, but the article says the cop shot him once in the head, but as you can see from the unedited the video, the cop unloaded his entire clip into the guys skull.

That was more than shot. I saw at least 3 shots that showed blow back of blood and tissue. I think they need to correct the article.

article actually linked to a longer video, but it blurred out the shooting and actually edited the audio so you only hear one shot, which i found odd. Especially since the full unedited (other than blurring out civilians) video was released.

Why was he shoeless? He was saying the airplanes were looking for him. Bad situation for everyone involved. I wouldn't be surprised if Chavez was paranoid schizophrenic or on drugs. Non of this makes any sense including the misleading article.

All I could think was "Say hello to my little friend", and not cos the copper got his gun out, but cos the guy who got shot sounded just like Tony Montana.
