Nothing surprising about it. He was on it and their direction speed all that was the same since he was riding it. This observation of yours is very poorly stated and moot.

they were 2 unattached objects with different mass, centers of gravity, friction vs pavement, etc, seperated at impact and then, after initially seperating and departing impact in slightly different directions, slid exactly the same distance and reunited as both came to rest over 100 feet away. a perfectly valid observation and comment, and quite a coincidence. your criticism is based on something other than the facts

forgot to mention the bike bounced back into frame after hitting something, which greatly reinforces earlier points
