This sad event happened today 6th of December in an independence day parade in Jyväskylä, Finland. An old veteran steps in front of the tank, goes into a prone position and dies as the tank crushes him. looks really painfull but i think he felt nothing because he was really fast dead after the tank roll over his head.And the words on the top of my comments i get it from the video information at youtube.  now i wish that guy a sweet dream,he will sleep forever and ever,good post  greetings:Gutmutilator |

Too bad there isn't a closeup angle. I always wondered what it would look like. And I doubt it looks as tidy as the scene in Band of Brothers

That video seemed kinda strange to me, I don't know if that's just me or what. The tank drives over an old fart, hits the brakes quite late and only a couple of minutes later the driver thinks of backing up to reveal the squishy veteran under it as if he knew there was no need to back up quickly so bystanders could help the man, as he was flattened like a scrambled egg anyway. And then 2/3rds into the video the ambulance rushes off with the squished corpse of the veteran and the tank continues to roll on along with the rest of the parade like nothing ever happened. It almost seemed as if the ambulance wasn't rushing off to bring the poor old chap to the hospital but rather so the parade can continue on as quickly as possible. Sorry for my rant, but it all just seemed so weird to me!  |
