It's a myth that you can choke on your own tongue. You can however severely damage it during a seizure, thus the reason for placing something in the mouth. I knew a guy who suffocated during a seizure when he went face down into his comforter. Anyway, I don't understand these people filming and not helping. He could have thrown up and been choking on that.
