Suicide Mexico City

July 21st, 2018

Mexico City, Mexico

A 45-year-old man, identified as Gilberto Martinez Cuenca, died in the hospital after throwing himself from a bridge inside Terminal 1 of the International Airport of Mexico City (AICM).

At 5pm, the man climbed to the structure so firefighters, police and Civil Protection personnel closed the circulation of cars waiting to rescue him.

However, as shown by a video posted on social networks, the subject threw himself and fell headfirst on the asphalt. The paramedics ran to the person and provided first aid for severe head trauma.

A paramedic from the AICM Rescue and Firefighting Corps requested the control tower of the Cóndor base, the transfer for the patient and an air ambulance landed in Terminal 1 of the AICM to go to the General Hospital of Balbuena.

Once in the hospital, the man died so the agent of the Public Ministry of Territorial Coordination in Venustiano Carranza Three initiated an investigation folder for the crime of manslaughter for other reasons.

I can imagine the staff all thinking the same thing, as in the words of Turkish off Snatch - "now, we're fucked".

Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

That was a swan dive for the ages right there.

You'd think reporters could at least get right weather one is dead or not. Source I'm seeing says he died in the helicopter on the way to the hospital.
