Re: Suicide Jumpers From The Movie, The Bridge
Great article, thanks for sharing the link and it answers the question others were asking about if it’s a guaranteed one shot kill…. “ Since 1937 approximately 1,800 people have ended their lives by jumping from this iconic bridge. Hines is one of only 35 people who have survived.)” Jen |

Re: Suicide Jumpers From The Movie, The Bridge
You are aware that the GG bridge is in a city some call “The Gay Bay” right? I doubt anyone in that freaky ass town feels “out of place”. Watch their pride parade on YouTube if you’re concerned about that. LOL Jen |

Re: Suicide Jumpers From The Movie, The Bridge
A number have survived after jumping off that bridge... universally, the survivors all say the same thing: "The moment I jumped I realized I made a huge mistake" It's only 220' into the water, not much more than some cliff diving spots. Really, you need to climb to the top of the tower to increase the chances of non-survival. |

Re: Suicide Jumpers From The Movie, The Bridge
Researched this after seeing the movie. Your body keeps going and gaining speed, then suddenly hits the water like concrete. Broken bones pierce organs, rarely survive. The Maricopa coroner is used to these suicides by now.

Re: Suicide Jumpers From The Movie, The Bridge
I live right up the street from the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, which teeters between the 2nd & 3rd most popular suicide bridge. 320ft drop, no human's ever survived, but a Rottweiler named Maggie did, after jumping off after her owner.
