I live in San Francisco and yes, it is like hitting concrete, like a race car plowing into a concrete barrier. I know of only one guy who survived but broke many bones in his body. He was a CCSF student. Every once in a while, he'll publicly talk about it to groups of people.  |

Gene had some balls...ppl usually just climb over, or stand on the cord b4 jumping. Gene stood up & just fell back. He was smart enough 2 even look down b4 he went, 2 make sure of where he would hit. some of them hit the concrete pillars. I heard they past the safety net 2 stop the suicides. There goes my weekend plans.  |

The full movie is on YouTube,I just watched it. I lived about 50 miles north of the bridge for the first 30 years of my life.I was aware it was a big suicide place from a young age. Never personally new anyone who jumped,just friends of friends. |

Fascinating, I had not heard about this documentary before. I have been researching the third jumper, his find a grave page is still very active |

I saw some show recently about a guy who jumped and survived it. And he turned his life around and made it his goal to prevent people from being able to jump from there. So from my understanding, they have, or will very soon put nets alongside the bridge to catch or prevent jumpers.  · |
