Re: Suicide Jump for the Eiffel Tower
I found another version of the video with the least clear parts of the words spoken by Yanik (the jumper) subtitled in French. I've added it to the translation I provided earlier in the thread (post 13), which I've improved a little. The second version of the video includes some extra footage showing the rescuers back on the ground etc. |

Re: Suicide Jump for the Eiffel Tower
Aftermatch lol, I think this guy was mentally disturbed & desperate enough to jump from the Eiffel bloody tower, the question of selfishness is something those of us with inner strength should learn to not even consider relevent in the context of a mans death. True, his family and the rescuers and all concerned are affected, but blaming those with no light at the end of their own personal tunnel is harsh and shows a lack of knowledge of the human condition and a lack of humanity. No offence, I respect everybodys opinion.

Re: Suicide Jump for the Eiffel Tower
It's funny, cuz in France, people aren't very fond of the police, so firemen are called for many of their functions (in other countries, at least). Everyone respects firemen lol |
