She was a victim of mental illness. I've been in a situation before where if I had a gun I'd probably be dead right now. Im sure we have all experienced some form of depression. Different meds, different cop, who knows, she may have lived.

Thing is, doctors hand out meds in the hope that it will fix the problem, but problems mentally are not fixable by pills, you don't heal a broken arm with pills, same way you don't heal a broken brain with them, sure it might help but the problem is still there and your just covering it up until it explodes and shit happens like In this video. It can take days, weeks, months, years even, just to deal with mental issues, some people require weekly sessions just to make themselves feel better.

It's not the government's fault. The government is responsible for the well-being of it's citizens and the correcting of problems before they escalate. I have to give it up to that CO, he did try, and unlike some cops he had a great deal of restraint.. Some cops would feel threatened and open fire on her considering she had an automatic rifle on her person and waved it around a few times, I wonder though, if he shot her leg say, could they then rush her and save her? In that situation there's not much time to think about stuff like that I guess. Still he really tried to save her, at the end you can see he quite clearly upset, he clenches his fists raises his arms and brings them down again like he is shocked and can't believe what happened.. He was one of the good cops.

Law enforcement officers are not properly trained to deal with mentally ill people.
