The reason why he stood further away from the crowd is because a suicide belt is designed so that when triggered steelballs and srewes fly from the front direction and hit at it vitcims like a sawed off shotgun would spread lead.

Every time I read or hear of one of these attacks, I am reminded of the second bomb from the Petersburg Metro bombing in 2017, which the FSB managed to disarm. It's the stuff of nightmares:



Also, has anyone ever noticed every time there is a tragic event with a significant body count, anywhere in the world, that there are almost always American and British victims? The stories are always like "36 people are dead in Nepal after a plane bound for the Kyrgyzstani capital of Bishkek crashed yesterday, including an American businessman and a British couple on holiday." We are everywhere, all the time.
