Re: Suicide
October 24, 2018 Reddit post: JUMPER OFF 900 BISCAYNE CONDOS YESTERDAY MORNING Cops everywhere, CSI Unit was there. Biscayne shut off between 10th and 9th. Walked over to ask cop what happened, he just said "someone jumped from the 25th floor". Not a peep in the news about this. Which brings up two questions. One, does anyone know anything more about this? Two, any idea why none of the TV stations mentioned it, and none of the websites (Herald, and the four network affiliates' websites) mentioned it. There were more benign stories carried by all outlets. So is someone jumping from the 25th floor of a luxury high-rise and landing on the sidewalk in front of a fine sushi restaurant just not newsworthy? |

Re: Suicide
Cervera Sales Director NR dies at 46 NR died on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 8:30 a.m., according to Miami-Dade County’s medical examiner’s office. NR, a senior manager, most recently handled sales of Smart Brickell, a mixed-use hotel and residential project. He worked for Cervera for about 15 years, ACL, managing partner and principal of the company, said. A memorial is planned for Monday afternoon at St. Hugh Catholic Church. NR previously was also director of sales of Centro in downtown Miami and BrickellHouse, a condo building in Brickell, and worked on projects that include The Plaza on Brickell and 500 Brickell, according to his LinkedIn profile. ACL, who said she was very close to NR, called him “a phenomenal ambassador for the company” – in the U.S. and abroad – and said he was “an exceptional family man.” NR received a number of company awards, including “Outstanding Development Sales Leadership” and “Cervera Development Top Producer Club – Platinum Circle” in 2016. NR was born on June 15, 1972 in Los Teques, Venezuela. He moved to the United States in 1994, and met his wife, AR, about two years later. He’s survived by his wife and two children. |

Re: Suicide
All these bullshit, butt-kissing tributes to a wealthy, money-grubbing real estate developer who easily could have killed or traumatized innocent passersby with his selfish, grandiose check-out. Screw him. Mentally ill or no, he wasn’t too crazy to climb the corporate ladder of success. Probably was about to get indicted on drugs, embezzlement, or something that would have ended his Miami-glam lifestyle, his devoted “family-man” rep, or both. A pillar of the community, I highly doubt. A pillar of salt, probably.
