The engineer just kept haulin ass afterwards. I wonder if they have to file a report? ....pounds of fuel used, XXX tons of freight on XX cars. No hot boxes, no downtime, mess on the tracks a mile marker 182.4, arrived a yard 09:27, departed locomotive 09:43. End of Shift.
Your "on time" numbers are the most important thing in that job - just ask Casey Jones. You don't make any unnecessary stops. Clearly there was no reason to stop in this instance. The thing was a done deal.
