Omg what freaks me out the most about decapitations is that, for at least a few second the head is still aware, ESPECIALLY when the decapitation happens VERY quickly as in this clip. (Can you just imagine the vertigo, the feeling of nausea and sickness as your head tumbles freely around liked a basketball, without the weight of the body to stabilize it. Yeesh

I don't think they are aware of anything. It's instant lights out like being knocked unconscious only much much more severe.
