He was limp, hanging there by one hand. No desperately trying to get back up, grab the rescuer to get leverage..he didn't seem to want to be saved..but I may very well be wrong. To the man trying to rescue, you tried. Whether he wanted rescuing or not ..good on him. Just sucks some people will be mentally haunted forever for trying to do the right thing :(
