After intense search efforts, rescue agencies recovered the body of teenager A.D.R.F. early Wednesday morning after he was reported missing on Monday, February 9, after entering a lagoon in the municipality of Santo Domingo North.

According to preliminary reports from witnesses and family members, the young man was swept away by a current into a deep, difficult-to-access area of ​​the body of water. The incident occurred in the afternoon, while he was at the location with other young people.

Following the report of the disappearance, emergency teams comprised of National Police officers, firefighters and certified divers were activated.
