This has to be Brazil; cesspool of the world where a human life is no more valuable than a bag of beans. Perhaps if laws were changed to where if you harm someone; the same tactics will be applied to you. And i will be willing to bet murders would drop off the chart  |

A lot of the time, the murderer is lynched by locals + if they manage to get to jail, it will be hell for them - it still doesn't deter them. Try not to base your thoughts on Brazilian people from what you see on this site. They really are not all murderous scum. I've interacted with many hundreds of decent Brazilians who are appalled by the crime in their country.

She was 23 years old, identified as Thália Torres de Souza, who was kidnapped by members of a criminal faction in the Bom Jardim neighborhood and taken to the neighboring neighborhood, Granja Portugal, at dawn on the 26th. Thália was tied up with ropes, gagged and carried by force, at gunpoint, to the banks of the Maranguapinho River, close to Rua Coronel Fabriciano, and executed there in a cruel way. The brutal murder was filmed by the criminals and shows when the girl is hit with an ax and stones in the head, with no chance of defense. The corpse was found hours later, with his head smashed and his hands tied. The girl, until then unidentified, wore blue jeans shorts and shirt of her favorite team, Fortaleza Esporte Clube. The murderers are still at large, but hidden in Bom Jardim. DHPP investigates the case. The suspicions are of a faction's “reckoning”. |
