A young woman identified as Thalia Torres de Souza, 23, was killed with refinement of cruelty on the afternoon of last Friday 28, in Granja Portugal neighborhood, in Fortaleza.

According to preliminary information, the victim was found dead near the Maranguapinho River, with a head injury caused by a pickaxe. The whole action was filmed by criminals and the video shared, as a sign of cruelty and affront to the public safety bodies of the State of Ceará.

According to information from sources, those involved have already been identified and in a matter of days they will be captured.

A young woman was killed with cruelty in the neighborhood of Granja Portugal, in Fortaleza. According to preliminary information, the victim, identified as Thalia Torres de Souza, 23, was found dead near the Rio Maranguapinho, with a head injury, probably caused by an ax.

The Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense of Ceará (SSPDS) informs that the 2nd Police Station of the Department of Homicide and Protection of the Person (DHPP) investigates the homicide.

We ought to remember that we're talking about a girl who just recently, was still a beautiful, vibrant human being—a delight to behold.

Let us not trivialize her death, sensationalize it or glorify the manner in which it occurred either.

She is not a character in a video game—she was a living, breathing, charming and very real, flesh-and-blood girl.
She had a family, loved ones and a mother who grieves her now (assuming her mom is alive).

Watching this made me very sad—and I'm a hardened bastard.

I am not new at all, but it was definitely not my intention to generalize or paint everyone here with the same brush.
I was only responding to what he wrote, and how it affected me personally.
I don't know what she did to elicit that level of hatred and brutality—and I, for one, don't even flinch anymore—but it simply made me very, very sad to see her be extinguished. I thought she had a beautiful, radiant face and a most generous smile. Life itself would've been a little more bright with her still in it.
