Re: Stephan Miller's Death By Grizzly
I was hoping it would turn up here someday too (sick, I know). I think it's going to be probably 20-30 minutes of screaming. I've kept this gun forum live account link for years on the incident. It's almost creepier than the documentary. http://www.thehighroad.org/archive/i...3604.html& |

Re: Stephan Miller's Death By Grizzly
Yeah, you got a point there. It might have worked out better than the cane which I think just made Rocky bite harder. I was watching the Randy interview and Stephan was supposed to raise his arms up but he was sort of caught off guard. It makes sense since the bear could get ahold of his arm and it wouldn't be just a single point failure. I think the whole dynamic changed when they were on the ground. In this article referring to a statement by Randy two months earlier: 'Randy Miller recently described Rocky as “the best working bear in the business”. But he added: “If one of these animals gets a hold of your throat, you’re finished.”' http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/...r-goes-Berserk I'm sure Stephan was well versed on this. They were working on a commercial for Stephan's web business. Stephan was supposed to wrestle the bear. I think Rocky came in at a bit of an awkward angle which didn't help. |

Well, Rocky isn't dead (the death was ruled an accident), so hopefully he wasn't sent somewhere where he can just be a bear.

Re: Stephan Miller's Death By Grizzly
What the hell do people expect? It's a bear. 700 lbs of muscle, bone, and fat that can kill you very damn easily. There's any number of reasons why any animal can suddenly become aggressive, even a so-called "tamed" animal, or domesticated one. As already mentioned, domestic cats aren't that tame, and many love to maul people for nothing but fun. Play with fire, get burned. Don't blame the fire. |
