An Israeli soldier was stabbed and moderately wounded early afternoon on Friday in a suspected terror attack during clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinians*just outside of Hebron.*

The terrorist was shot and killed on the scene.*

The attacker,*26-year-old Iyad Al-Awawda from the town of Dura,*was dressed up as a photographer with a press camera*and was wearing a clearly marked 'PRESS'*vest.

The assailant arrived at the intersection*between the Palestinian village*Tarqumiyah and the Israeli settlement Adora, which leads*to Hebron from Guvrin, and stabbed the soldier.

He was shot dead by other IDF soldiers on scene.*

this latest uptick in the arabo-israeli conflict is outrageous, yet again. I don't take sides. The conflict is so hard to resolve because both sides has pros and cons working in their favor and against them. It's a four-pronged conundrum. Israelis have a sovereign right to protect themselves in a land where they are surrounded by (officially) enemies. Yet they need to, they MUST, stop building settlements that encroach on Palestinian land (this is bad especially when you remember that the settlers are usually the most extreme within Israel's society. They take land because God told them to do so (and how do you reason with people like this). Palestinians have a right to a state and to not be frisked and questioned whenever they go to work or worship on the israeli side or go seek specialized medical care in the better israeli clinics. but they need to stop promoting terrorism, remove the concept of martyrdom in the name of some "higher cause" (which there ain't) and just stop attacking israeli civilians at random.

Most of these terrorists don't care...they want to die for their cause. But yeah, logic would suggest this.
