Does someone know the answer to this?

Every time I see one of these videos where a dump truck, bus, etc. runs over someone, I often wonder when they discover a body under their tire, why don’t they either pull forward or back up off the body? If the person’s dead you’re not going to cause them anymore pain. If they’re alive, is there a reason they don’t make the safest movement possible to get off of them? Greater fear of bleed out or something? You see it all the time and to me it’s just about as frustrating as seeing someone get stabbed or shot and there’s a big crowd standing around just taking pictures or videos.

That way you only get the police asking questions. You back up and scatter the remains more, you will get the coroner and the clean up crew jumping down your throat.
