Although I can't decipher the road markings in Vietnam (What do single yellow dashes mean?) I would think that the truck had no business being on that side of the road. There were 2 lanes for each direction.

Yes yellow lines always separate traffic moving in opposite directions and white lines always separate lanes of traffic moving in the same direction. These single yellow dashes mean that you may overtake and when it's a solid yellow line, usally before corners etc. you may not overtake. He was just being reckless. |
