Speedy Female Driver Fatally Hits Commune Official on Flooded Road
The leader of the Staff Department, Dak Lak Provincial Police said that the driver of the car that hit Mr. Le Phuoc Toan (44 years old), Chairman of the People's Committee of Dray Bhang commune, killing him overnight, came to the police station to present herself. The identity of the car driver is Ms. Le Thi Cam C, 33. Initially, it was determined that Ms. C. hit Mr. Toan and throwing him 10 meters away while the victim was with commune officials regulating traffic on National Highway 27, because the road was flooded after the rain. After hitting Mr. Toan, Ms. C. drove away from the scene. Although he was taken to the Central Highlands General Hospital for emergency treatment, the victim did not survive. Officials and people of Dray Bhang commune were shocked and expressed their condolences at the sudden passing of Mr. Le Phuoc Toan while on duty. |

Standing on a road in the dark wearing dark coloured clothing is not a very good idea. That said, the driver must have been drunk or otherwise impaired to be driving so quickly in that situation.

Yes, you very well might be right about that! Anyone travelling at such a high speed in that situation probably isn't looking/caring. |

Four men in gray clothes standing around in the middle of the highway in the rain at night. 100% death wish. Usually I am quite anti-speeder, but those guys are more at fault than the driver, IMO.
