Speedy Car Crashes in Tunnel, Leaving Driver Burned to a Crisp
On November 2, a tragic car accident occurred in the Luojiazhai Tunnel of the Airport Expressway in Lincang City, Yunnan. A car travelling at high speed hit the shoulder of the tunnel. Then the car rolled over and exploded catching fire. The driver was burned to a crisp. When the vehicle was about to hit the shoulder of the road, the brake lights suddenly turned on, which means that the driver applied an emergency brake.  |

The brake lights don't illuminate when the handbrake is engaged, the switchis only on the footbrake.

Speeding on the airport expressway. Lots of accidents happen near airports from people speeding to catch a plane. The french actress Catherine Denueve's sister Francoise Dorleac (also an actress who was on the brink of fame) crashed and burned to death speeding to a French airport, this from Wikipedia: "Dorléac was on the brink of international stardom when she died on 26 June 1967 in a motor accident. She lost control of a rented Renault 10 and hit a signpost ten kilometres from Nice at the Villeneuve-Loubet exit of the autoroute La Provençale. The car flipped over, and burst into flames. She had been en route to Nice Airport and was afraid of missing her flight. She was seen struggling to get out of the car, but was unable to open the door. Police later identified her body only from the fragment of a cheque book, a diary and her driver's licence"  · |
