Speeding Motorist Hits and Kills Bicyclist and Two-year-old Girl
A speeding Toyota Altis rammed into two bicycles in Thailand, injuring one woman and killing two people — including a two-year-old girl — before the driver abandoned his car and fled the scene. According to CCTV footage, the Toyota hits a cyclist, 52, before it lost control and crashed into another female cyclist, 56, whose 2-year-old granddaughter was sitting on the back of the bicycle. The male cyclist and the two-year-old girl were killed instantly while the female cyclist was seriously injured and sent to hospital. The driver, who has not been identified, abandoned his car and escaped. CCTV footage shows him run into a field on the roadside. Police found an opened can of beer and a pack of cigarettes in the front seat of the car. The owner of the Toyota, whose name has not been disclosed, turned himself in to police last night to prove his innocence and he told officers his close friend borrowed the car. However, officers didn’t believe his story and made him take a drugs test. The result came back positive and he will be charged for drug offences. Police will now investigate if the owner of the car was the person who hit the three victims. |

Re: Speeding Motorist Hits and Kills Bicyclist and Two-year-old Girl
If you were going to lie about it....why would you say your 'close friend' was driving? That's obviously not going to work to your advantage. You would need to pretend that your car was stolen by someone that you didn't know. I certainly don't condone his behaviour, and not trying to give tips to get off....I'm just pointing out the obviousness of his lies.
