Speeding Driver Loses Control and Crashes into Motorcyclists

Brazil- The car that crashed into two motorcycles and caused the death of the motorcyclist L.F.P., 23, and D.A.G., 21, on the viaduct of Avenida T-63, in Goiânia, was at high speed, according to witnesses.

"Witnesses said that the driver was going at high speed to the point that, when he reached the top of the viaduct, the wheels of the vehicle came off the ground, even taking a certain flight," described the delegate.

The driver was identified as Rubens Mendonça Filho. The accident happened on the night of last Thursday (20). The driver of the electric car, considered luxury, said that he lost control of the vehicle because it was "closed" by another car that was in front of him, so he ended up invading in the opposite direction and hitting the motorcycles and throwing L. and D. out of the viaduct.

According to the Traffic Crimes Investigation Police Station (DICT), the crash happened when a car that followed the avenue lost control of the direction and crashed into a scooter, which had two women.

After hitting the women, the car crashed into the motorcycle, which was carrying the two young men. According to the police, with the impact, the motorcycle crashed into a second car that was also following on the avenue. The two young men who were on the motorcycle were thrown and fell on the sideway of the elevated.
