He was suddenly next to me and he quite easily lifted me up onto my feet. I remember that he was incredibly tall and the turban made him seem even taller. Honestly, Had it not been for him, I would have been trampled. And those trampling me wouldn't be able to help it. It's horrible.

This Sikh fellow -- He honestly saved my life. He said, I got you, hang on to me and then as the crowd surged forward, he saved my life again by hoisting me up onto the hood of a car which a bunch of other people and that's where I stood for a long time until the crowd dissipated.

You were doing what is called "crowd surfing". It's not usually looked at that dramatically, it sounds like it was your first time. You get used to it. You get lifted up and carried on top of the crown. That's what's supposed to happen no biggy.

Like many people say: the itaewon incident was not due to a celebrity being there. it is the most popular spot to be and celebrities often frequent it. the neighborhood has dealt with even bigger crowds. the fault lies in bad crowd control and officials are trying to veer the fault another way.

avoid large crowds should be anyone's motto imo as it takes only one asshole to spread mass panic etc.

Apparently there was only one crowd control officer. He looked deeply upset trying to get people to move to saftey. Seems like they needed more than one dude per thousand plus
