Hey Mickey, Being from South Africa, can you tell me life is like there now? Since the Goverment in power implemented some funny law, where whites in South Africa (todays generation I mean)... have to pay dividens for the actions of the apartheid (hope i spelt it correctly).. I watched a documentary on it recently and I find it messed up - todays generations of white citizens of South Africa have to pay up for the actions of some narrow minded people!! .. trying to gague if the Goverment there have truely got this correct, as there going to create racial tensions on the ground between the races that live there... Note - this question I am asking is not to incite an racial debate etc .. so please people if your itching to be hateful and etc .. dont post please. |

Hi Mexx, Apologies for the late reply I haven't checked out this thread since that last post. It's difficult to unpack the whole disaster of what this country has become since 1994 without writing a wall of text. I suggest you watch a documentary by Lauren Southern called Farmlands, it gives a nice overview of the brewing tensions being stoked at the moment. The government has implemented an absurd policy called "Black Economic Empowerment" which basically amounts to diverting government and municipal derived business to organizations that have enough black ownership, this creates inflation by adding another unnecessary entity in the supply chain. The industry I am involved with is directly affected by this and cannot do allot of lucrative business without involving an arbitrary black person placing his markup for doing nothing but submitting a quote. Every single government run entity is in dire straights, badly run, hemorrhaging taxpayer money and corrupt as hell. The police are useless and there is a good chance they won't even arrive if you call them for a burglary in progress  . We have 49 murders per day and one of the highest rape rates in the world. The only good thing I can honestly say about SA is that it's a naturally beautiful country, everything else is a fuck up.Anyway you get the picture, if you have any specific questions ask away  |
