the guy on bottom left was supposed to be belaying him on the rope. you can see he is not ready for the weight and the rope yanks him off balance and he falls over, letting go of the rope. this causes GI Abdul to fall to his death instead of doing a cool looking swan dive and slowing down at the last second. this training is also totally useless because it will never be used in the real world.
