Colombia, Two police officers were killed by sniper. Video shows patrolmen José D.P.G. and Herney O. L. were attacked while manning a checkpoint in front of the local police station. The attack, carried out by a sniper, shocked the community.

The attack occurred while the officers were checking the papers of two motorcyclists. At that moment, a sniper opened fire on them, first wounding one of the officers, who tried to take refuge in the station but fell to the ground due to the severity of his injuries.

A few seconds later, the second officer was also hit by gunfire and, although he tried to seek cover, was unable to repel the attack.

Both were immediately taken to the Regional Hospital, where they died shortly afterward due to the severity of their injuries.

The attack was attributed to armed groups operating in the region, although the identity of those responsible has not yet been confirmed.

This incident follows a series of recent attacks against the National Police in different parts of the country, leading authorities to intensify operations against criminal organizations.

This is a new thing in Colombia. Would be easy to shoot officers from those barrio shack house windows and disappear. Had to check where did this happen and it was in Cesar, near to Cucuta, Venezuelan border.

The cops make an easier target when they are standing by themselves.
So many times cops/military kill people during those stupid illegal detentions.
