thats a green anaconda (eunectes murinus) and it looks like a calf to me. no doubt about it, an anaconda can eat a calf. however- the farmers most likely disturbed the anaconda. when they get stressed out after eating such a big meal they spit it out again, so they can get away much faster. which is normal if u have a 150 pound calf in ur stomach. anacondas themself are said to be the biggest snakes in the world. only the reticulated python gets longer, but it doesnt have the same body mass the anaconda has. from the other anacondas ive seen id guess this one is around 16 to 17 ft. no doubt a anaconda this size can eat a calf. |
