Re: Smiling Guy Waves Goodbye Before He Hangs Himself on a Ceiling Fan
Many thoughts on this particular video: 1.) Why did he wave goodbye at the camera? Was he offering a genuinely fond farewell, or was this one of those passive-aggressive stunts, as in, "You see what you made me do?" Or maybe he was re-enacting that scene from Indiana Jones / Doom, where that one bad Indian guy gets hung from the ceiling fan. 2.) Purposefully seeking death is not as easy as it sounds, apparently, and takes a lot of willpower. Look at his heart and lungs pumping desperately to get air back into his brain. Even after five minutes, his system is still checking to see if there is any possibility of resuscitating him. 3.) There's a part in there where he has a bit of trouble with the noose and has to secure it. I bet there's nothing more frustrating than when you are completely committed to taking your own life, and something goes wrong. George Carlin did a joke on that in his show "Life is Worth Losing". 4.) And finally, those eyes. There's always something slightly disturbing when you look into the eyes of someone and know that they are only seconds away from killing themselves. The soul has already left the body, and all that's left is a physical shell following through with the last rites. I know, right? He must have hung himself in one of those miniature dollhouses |

Re: Smiling Guy Waves Goodbye Before He Hangs Himself on a Ceiling Fan
I was surprised at how long it took him to stop moving. If I were to off myself I'm thinking hanging is probably a no for me.
