I've had six of them & had to be hospitalized each time. The first time it happened, I was sitting on the toilet & had no idea anything was wrong. All of a sudden, I simultaneously projectile vomited blood against the wall in front of me & shit a ton of blood into the toilet before passing out on the floor. I quickly regained consciousness & managed to crawl to my bed & thought I might die. I then waited at least a day to see if it would stop bleeding on its own (which it did not). I then called my brother to take me to the hospital because it's so close that I can practically throw a rock & hit it & I didn't want to pay a thousand bucks for a 3-block taxi ride. When he got here, I wanted to take a shower before leaving cuz I was nasty as hell & didn't want to go in the ER like that. A few seconds after I got into the shower, I realized that I couldn't keep standing & I had to lie down under the shower & yell for my brother to come get me. When he came in the bathroom, he said I looked like a corpse from the blood loss.

I had pretty much the same thing happen 5 times after that. It all started because I was taking NSAIDs for my bum hip. I needed a hip replacement but had to put it off because I was the lead on this high-profile Army project & couldn't take any time off. That was also the reason I chose not to take any opiates cuz I couldn't be all zoned out so I took the NSAIDs instead. The project took 9 months to complete & then I got the new hip (& some good drugs). Five f the times this happened was during that 9 months. The sixth time happened 5 years later shortly before I got the other hip replaced when I thought it was OK to take NSAIDs again because my stomach had been fine since the first one. NSAIDs look like poison to me now. I've not had any problems in the 11 years since it last happened because I don't touch that shit.
