why? who would think some ornamental column on commercial property would be sitting outside, just resting on a concrete pad, where it could be pushed over by wind, an automobile, people, etcetera, or stolen... ? the bystanders are idiots, and so is the lift operator, for allowing them to stand there |

It's a misuse of a forklift in the first place. A good general rule is to be about 3' away for every 1' height of the load being picked up. And if you're going to stand next to a falling object hazard, wear a goddamned hard hat! |
