You bring up an important point: WHO, and HOW, and WHO PAYS FOR, the aftermath crime scene clean up? And another point: in many cultures, such as Chinese, the murder renders the scene uninhabitable.

It's be interesting to get the back stories on the aftermath, but probably impossible to get it, since not in the online news, and families sure as heck are not going to FB about it ...
