A man, identified as 47-year-old Héctor A.T.J, was traveling with his family in a pick-up truck on Sept. 24 and preliminary reports suggest that the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel, causing the pick-up truck to drift into the oncoming lane and collide head-on with a heavy transport truck before slamming into a roadside wall.

The impact was so severe that Trinidad Javier died instantly inside the cabin. Two girls, ages 16 and 17, were sitting in the flatbed of the truck. They were thrown by the impact and sustained severe injuries. They were identified as Emily F.C.J. (16) and Blanca A.H.J (17).

Two women inside the cabin had to be cut free from the wreckage. One was identified as Monica G.H.J. (23). All four injured individuals were stabilized at the scene and urgently rushed to the emergency room of the Regional Hospital.

Based upon his picture, it looks like he also suffered from radiation poisoning which he would've succumbed to anyway.
